Handicraft companies, primarily from central Germany, present their products and services. Visitors can obtain extensive information and advice.

Visitors are attracted by shows-within-a-show of high quality work, such as the glass-fronted butcher’s shop, the glass-fronted bakery with its own ice cream parlour, masterpieces from the butchery trade in Saxony and the living workshops and energy and environment stand. A new attraction in 2010 is the exhibitor forum in Hall 2 with the leading theme "Energy and the environment - the investment of tomorrow".

Within the Central German Handicrafts Fair there is an emphasis upon the themes of energy and the environment, together with age-appropriate modernisation with advice and demonstrations.

A single entry ticket is valid for HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT, the Central German Handicrafts Fair and Beach & Boat.

The Central German Handicrafts Fair is the largest meeting point for the handicrafts sector in central Germany. Together with the HOME-GARDEN-LEISURE consumer fair, it attracts more than 170,000 visitors.

Handicraft events, with some international participants, take place throughout the duration of the fair. Exhibitors and trade visitors can take advantage of the specialist talks, panel discussions, seminars and meetings on offer.
