Registration for the Leipzig Book Fair Now Open
Starting today, you can register for the Leipzig Book Fair together with Manga Comic-Con and the "Leipzig liest" reading festival. After being forced to take a break due to COVID-19, this spring event for the book and media industries is returning with a new concept in the exhibition halls, fresh programme items and adjusted registration deadlines. You can find all the information you need at www.leipziger-buchmesse.de. The Leipzig Book Fair will take place from 27 to 30 April 2023.

CosmeticBusiness 2022 Proves Successful as the Leading Industry Get-Together
CosmeticBusiness, the international trade show of the cosmetics supplying industry, is back on its regular schedule following a break due to the pandemic and an autumn edition in 2021. 326 exhibitors and represented companies from 26 countries presented their innovative products and services for the development, production and marketing of cosmetics products in three exhibition halls at the MOC in Munich.

CosmeticBusiness 2022: Turn Trends into Business
The countdown to the 17th edition of CosmeticBusiness has begun. After a break in 2020 and an autumn show in 2021, the cosmetics industry will be getting together with its suppliers in early summer as usual from 1 to 2 June 2022 at the MOC in Munich. Decision-makers from the cosmetics industry will be looking for new inspiration for their product development from 300 exhibitors of ingredients, manufacturing and packaging. This is reflected in the motto of the international trade show of the cosmetics supplying industry which is "Turn Trends into Business".

Global Orthopaedic Treatment and Care: OTWorld shows State of the Art
After the entirely digital OTWorld.connect, we can finally say "welcome back to Leipzig" from 10 to 13 May. The global industry for modern orthopaedic treatment and care will come together again in person at OTWorld 2022 to exchange knowledge and experiences across a variety of disciplines. The World Congress and Leading World Trade Show will be focusing on the full range of advanced procedures, products and technology that enable people with limited mobility and other disabilities to achieve greater independence and participate more in daily life. These include digital assistive technologies, treatment and care concepts for cerebral palsy and diabetic foot syndrome as well as pediatric neuro-orthopaedics, robotics, 3D printing, and high-tech prosthetics and orthotics. One of this year's most important themes is how to secure professional care even in war zones and times of crisis.

Silvana Kürschner Takes on the Position as Head of Leipziger Messe International
Silvana Kürschner took on the leadership of Leipziger Messe International (LMI) on 1 January 2022. As an authorised signatory, she will be reporting to Managing Director Markus Geisenberger. Silvana Kürschner already leads the Business Development / Trade Fair division at Leipziger Messe. In addition to being responsible for new business and market research, she also manages the expo PetroTrans, protekt and musicpark trade fairs as well as the GGS - Fachmesse Gefahrgut // Gefahrstoff (Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances) trade fair.

HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT and mitteldeutsche handwerksmesse Cancelled in February 2022 – New Date: 11 to 19 February 2023
Owing to the pandemic situation, Leipziger Messe is once again cancelling the HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT and mitteldeutsche handwerksmesse trade fair combination that was planned from 19 to 27 February 2022. Both fairs will next be held at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre from 11 to 19 February 2023.

denkmal Russia-Moscow, the three-day trade show for preservation, restoration and museum technology, reached a successful conclusion on 23 October. Despite the restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, organizer Leipziger Messe International and its Russian partners exceeded their expectations with around 80 exhibitors and 2,700 trade visitors. The joint German stand hosted 16 exhibitors.

Leipziger Messe opens the doors with approved hygiene concept – Trade fairs and congresses in 2020 will take place
Leipziger Messe is again organising trade fairs and congresses. After several months of suspension as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Leipzig Messe Group of Companies is now actively planning to hold around 100 own and guest events by the end of 2020. This is a result of the Corona Protection Ordinance of 3 June 2020 issued by the Saxon state government, which expressly permits trade fairs and congresses with an approved hygiene concept. The Leipziger Messe has now developed one that has been examined and approved by the responsible health authority of the city of Leipzig.

Leipziger Messe joins expo PetroTrans Trade Fair
Leipziger Messe joins expo PetroTrans Trade Fair, which has been held every two years in Kassel since 2004. The trade fair for fuel logistics has established itself as an international business platform with steadily growing numbers of exhibitors and visitors as well as a growing exhibition area. In 2020, it will take place for the ninth time in Kassel from 1 to 3 October.
