When OTWorld 2026 opens tomorrow in Leipzig, an anniversary meets the future: 50 years after its foundation, the world’s leading platform for modern orthopaedic treatment and care demonstrates how innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific exchange can make a tangible difference to treatment and care. With 623 exhibitors from 41 countries, OTWorld has reached a historic high. This year’s focus includes rehabilitation, integrated treatment, advanced training, robotics, artificial intelligence and digital processes. Humanoid robots at OTWorld: How AI and robotics are transforming healthcare [OTWorld]
Humanoid robots, a robot dog for the emergency services, AI assistance and digital therapy solutions: OTWorld 2026 will demonstrate in the special show “Robotics + AI”, how new technologies are transforming the provision of medical aids such as wheelchairs, prostheses and orthoses. Innovations from Saxony, including Leipzig and Dresden, will also be on display. In addition to the Trade Show, concrete insights will be provided at the World Congress.

CosmeticBusiness 2026: Innovation trends in ingredients and packaging [CosmeticBusiness]
Penetrating deeper into the skin and delivering greater efficacy: that is the aim of many innovations in the cosmetics industry. Ultra-fine needles made from sea sponges open up the skin to deliver active ingredients into deeper layers. Lipid capsules transport sensitive ingredients safely into key cell structures. Combinations of make-up and skincare are becoming increasingly important. At the same time, the packaging industry is delivering sustainable packaging concepts made from recyclable materials that allow a blend of fresh ingredients to be mixed only at the point of use.

Legal information

Downloading, archiving and any use of the logos and names is only permitted in compliance with the following conditions:

  • Logos and names may only be used for news reports by publishers and/or journalists, or alternatively where the user is bindingly approved as an exhibitor for a future trade fair/exhibition organised by Leipziger Messe at the time of downloading and archiving as well as for the duration of the use of the logo/name.
  • The user shall faithfully reproduce the logo/name without any distortion (minor colour deviations in printing will be tolerated in individual cases).
  • If the user is an exhibitor as defined above, they may use the logo/name exclusively in connection with reference to their future participation in a trade fair/exhibition organised by Leipziger Messe.
  • The use of the logo/name for purposes other than those specified above – in particular for the identification of goods and services of third parties – is prohibited.

Failure to comply with the above requirements will be prosecuted under civil law and – in the case of copyright infringement – also under criminal law.

The Leipziger Messe is one of the ten leading German trade fair companies and one of the top 50 worldwide. It organises events in Leipzig and at various locations all over Germany and abroad. With its five subsidiaries and the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL), Leipziger Messe is a comprehensive service provider covering the entire chain of the events business. It is due to this level of professionalism, that customers and visitors in 2025 voted the Leipziger Messe the service champion of the trade fair industry in Germany's largest service ranking for the 12th time in a row. The Leipzig fairgrounds comprise an exhibition area of 111,900 m² and an open-air exhibition area of 70,000 m². Every year, over 250 events with more than 15,300 exhibitors and over 1.2 million visitors take place – from trade fairs, exhibitions and congresses to events. Leipzig was the first German trade fair company to be certified according to the Green Globe standards. Sustainability is a recurring theme in the Leipziger Messe's corporate activities.
