Sustainability report in accordance with the German Sustainability Code (DNK) standard
The German Sustainability Code
The German Sustainability Code is a reporting standard for responsible, sustainable action in companies and organisations. It was developed by the Council for Sustainable Development, an advisory body to the German government. The aim is to present sustainability in a transparent, comparable and comprehensible way.
What is reported
The DNK comprises 20 criteria – including strategy, use of resources, working conditions and social commitment. Companies provide information on how they are positioned in these areas. In addition, key metrics are added, such as for energy consumption or diversity. All information is checked for completeness by the DNK team and then published in a publicly accessible database.
A visible sign
After successful review, companies are allowed to use the official DNK signet – as a visible sign of transparent and responsible corporate management. Leipziger Messe has prepared its first DNK report for 2023. The publication has been confirmed by the DNK and is publicly available: DNK Statement (PDF, 2 MB) (in German only)
